Tired of the winter blues? If so, then you’re in good company, with nearly 60% of American parents confessing that they are having trouble coping with the dark days of winter as they creep by. The survey commissioned by the US Highbush Blueberry Council reveals that wintertime is a key stress factor for parents with younger children, as well as stress on the wallet, with the average family spending more than $470 extra over the winter to keep the family warm and entertained during the cold months.
So what’s the best way to cope? Comfort foods of course! Four in ten claim that they struggle with eating healthy, and wish they could keep to their diet more strictly. Only a few months until beach season, right?
